Lions in the Desert is my work of historical fiction about the first Christian hermit (as the sub-title says).  Paul of Thebes ("Bola Hanok Amoun") grew up along the upper Nile Valley and became a follower of Messiah Jesus at a very early age.  After his parents died he inherited their wealthy farm, but was forced to leave it during the persecutions under the Roman Caesar Decius.  In his early twenties he joins a caravan where he is unknown and makes his way into the eastern mountains.  From there after many other adventures (where he experiences the power of the Holy Scriptures) God leads him to his final abode:  a strange haven in the mountains where a lonely spring-fed palm tree is surrounded on all sides by high rock walls.  There Paul, sustained by God like the ancient prophets, lives out his life of prayer and exploration.  The book is available as a Kindle edition as well for $4.00.  Enjoy!  Get your hard cover copy here:  https://www.amazon.com/dp/1092533222/ref=rdr_ext_tmb
