This novel is based on a Bible story whose setting is in the late Fifth Cenutry B. C.  That story of ancient Judah is found in the last two chapter of the Bible book of Ezra.  In chapter 9 Ezra the scribal priest was apprised of the fact that many men in Israel of his time had married "foreign" (non-Jewish) women.  This fact upset him and many of the priestly class of his day.  The last two chapters of the bibical book of Ezra tell the story of how the priesthood compelled the divorce of these non-Jewish wives on pain of losing their property and their place in the religious assembly.  Even many of the priests were involved in this breach of Mosaic Law.   My novel is based on Ezra 10:15 which mentions that several priests disagreed with the procedure Ezra was going about to force this break-up of families.  I tell the tale of a man so in love with his Moabite wife that he takes her away from Israel and escapes with their children to the place of her home:  a small town in Moab.  That would be adventure enough, but Ezra's men decide to send an "Enforcer" after the renegade priest, Judah Ben Asahel, to compel his compliance to the new priestly edict.  How Judah and his family manage to elude this dangerous man makes for a real thriller of a book!  Get yours here:  https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08VV7YR6X?ref_=pe_3052080_397514860
