"INDESTRUCTO II: ONWARD AND UPWARD! Is Now available at Amazon
I have good news and bad news. The bad news pertains primarily to me; the good news (hopefully real good!) is for you. As the title above indicates Indestructo II: Onward and Upward is now completely published via paperback and the Kindle edition. Here is where you
can find it:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/1727024206
I think the paperback is reasonably priced for a 323 page book (at 12$ each). It continues the story of the exciting life of Jacob Lawrence and his faithful family. Like many people with special powers Jacob tends to shy away from the limelight; but his services are in so great demand (and he has such a compassionate heart) that he cannot help but assist people in dire need. The paper back cover depicts a huge, Class 5 tornado; the kindle book shows a commercial airliner headed for a crash. Those are two clues as to what happens in this exciting story! Once again Jake finds himself (unwillingly) pitted against 'Boslem' Terrorists who seek revenge for their being foiled in their previous attempt to operate a drug and terrorism pipeline from Oklahoma City. Their plans for vengeance are big and dangerous as they threaten the lives of far more people than before. But they haven't reckoned with the special powers of Indestructo and his allies from the FBI . . . and from Heaven itself.
SO WHAT'S THE BAD NEWS? Amazon did away with their handy, convenient self-publishing site called 'Createspace.com'. That web site enabled one to publish a book quickly and cheaply. I think the big wigs at Amazon decided they were making it too cheap for publishers like me (of whom there are many). So they shut it down and shuffled all one's titles over to Kindle Direct Publishing. What this means is I can no longer buy my books for sale for a low wholesale price; instead of picking up a single paperback for (say) $4.00 I now must pay on average nearly a 100% more for that same book!! Like I said: Amazon wanted a bigger cut of the proceeds from our hard work. And now they will have it. What does that mean for future book-signings? I (on my limited income) will only be able to afford to purchase about half of the books for that sale that I usually purchase. AND it likely means I will have to raise the prices at the sale in order to break even. Dang! But I'll admit: it's Amazon's site, and I suppose they have to maximize profits any way they can to please their investment pool. In other words for little guys like me the 'good ol' days' are over.
