IMPORTANT UPDATES: "Minco" and "The Fallen Dove" (New)

I just reread The Minco Diaries: A Homeless Man Comes Home, mainly because I wanted to. A close friend of mine still thinks the book isn't realistic since today most homeless people are so brain-damaged and mentally ill that they could not "come back home to normalcy" if they really wanted to. She's mostly right! The brain damage and mental illness stem from three things: massive drug abuse, constant exposure to the elements, and living outside of God's unbreakable laws (if you keep stealing from others and live a selfish life, God allows that to corrupt your mind. See Romans 1:16ff.). But I and others have witnessed miracle stories where, with a little help from Christ and His Church, a miraculous turn-around is possible. I made a few syntax changes in my corrections this time, AND I added something many readers prefer: chapter titles! If you haven't purchased this 461 page book yet, get your copy here (paperback or kindle): https://www.amazon.com/Minco-Diaries-Homeless-Comes-Home-ebook/dp/B0775YVLL7 T/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=The+Minco+Diaries+A+Homeless+Man+Comes+Home&qid=1582640302&s=books&sr=1-1

By the way, the kindle price has been reduced.

My newest work is called The Fallen Dove. I'm currently completing the second proof reading of this work, and hope to have it done by the end of March. It's the story of Abraham of Edessa and his niece Mary (Miriam) whose nickname in church history is "Mary the Harlot." The book tells the story of how Abraham came to adopt his niece and how she fell unwittingly into the hands of an evil man who corrupted her. This is also the story of great heroism against difficult odds and of the possibility of repentance from even the worst of sins. It's also (in a subtle way) the story of what happens when God does NOT answer our prayers as we would wish. Stay tuned, and I'll let you now more soon. (And I'm sorry it's been so long to add to this.)

What else is new? (Might as well put it all in one blog!) Some time later this spring I hope to have my fifth book of poetry out and available. It's the usual "Collected Poems for Various Occasions." This one will be titled Underneath the Live Oaks. I'll say more once we get closer to the publication date.
