Meanwhile Upton citizens under Lord Garon Machus undergo rigorous training in combat while sequestered away in a northern forest of the elf country. While there he meets a young dwarf maiden who falls in love with him. Meanwhile the dragon now has control of The Five Lands and is free to run wild. He has his eyes set on the elf kingdom, but before he can strike the elf king is making plans for a bold counter move. While all of this is going on Mackedon is escorted to the holiest place of the elf kingdom. There he obtains wisdom and meets the elderly elf who has been chosen to make him a great weapon for his future combat with Agorgiton.
