FACE LIFT FOR "The Secret Queen"

Actually the young elf girl in this story is so beautiful she'll never need a facelift! But this novel that tells about the brave crown princess needed a small one. SO! As with recent editorial changes for other novels, I have added chapter titles to the 27 chapters found here. I have reread the entire book and made changes in syntax and diction where needed. The main plot and characters all remain the same. And what is that plot? This is the story of a young girl approaching the age of marriage. But she's not just any young girl. Amanda Dawn Windhills is the crown prince of the United Elf Kingdom, full of ideas, imagination, and a longing for discovery and adventure. After gaining permission to accompany a seasonal trade caravan to the western nation of Fernshire, Amanda begins to discover the powerful influence she has over people of all nations and races. In the course of her journey she is kidnapped by slave traders, along with a number of other elf and human children. Winding up in a far flung castle of the disputed country of Fulgon, she begins to exert her influence there as well. Amanda relates well to most of the castle's occupants and begins to influence even the wild, masterful, and merciless owner of the castle Hendrik Lotharion. While her elf allies race to find and release her and the other captives, she seeks to influence her captors to considerate a life of peace and freedom.
