IN A DISTANT TIME AND PLACE WE ALL ARE. . . "Canyon Bound."

This is my thirty-ninth book, most of which are novels. This one happens to be my fourth attempt at science fiction, and like Mountain From the Sky it was a hard one to right. But Canyon Bound was hard to write for a different reason: the basis for the plot goes against my own morals and ethics as a Christian! And yet this was one of those book ideas that just wouldn't go away. It's like a voice from out of the fog, or maybe from my muse, who keeps on crying, "You must write me down or you won't get any peace!" It's basically the story of a man whose work partner is an android designed as a female who goes by the name of Delores Anne Jones. The problem is George doesn't know she is an android when he succumbs to her charms and marries her. After he finds out her true identity he divorces her, and yet . . . Captain George Archer finds it difficult to 'untie the knot' of his former, brief relationship. Then he is assigned a difficult and dangerous mission: he must journey to the capital of a regional Indian tribe in an effort to begin peace talks with those who live beyond his dome complex. This adventure with all its dangers gives Archer the chance to rethink the meaning of his relationship with Delores Anne. Only then can he know what to do about it.
